Back in November I read a post on mini2.com from my friend Steve, aka CapeCodMINI about his plans to enter a car in the BABE Rally. My first thought was, "Sounds like a hoot! Got room for one more?" As soon as he said yes, I rushed into Kent's basement (or The Clubhouse, as I like to call it) to share the big news. Next thing you know, we're entering our own car in the Rally, and we're hot on the trail of our very own beater. The key rule for the BABE Rally is that whatever piece of junk you drive can't cost you more than $250.00.

The Vegginator is a 1983 Mercedes 300D, recently converted to run on waste vegetable oil. Richard and Kent and Adam are driving it to New Orleans in the BABE Rally (that's Big Apple to Big Easy) Memorial Day Weekend, 2007. This is our story.
