A Lucky Encounter

On Saturday Lynn and I took the Vegginator down to the Cape to meet up with a gang of MINIs and one very ducky minivan. The MINIs are all friends of ours from the New England MINI crowd, many of whom we've done numerous rides with, especially MINIs on Top. The minivan is "Lucky," also heading out on the BABE Rally with four of our friends from MINIland.

LUCKY is festooned with ducks, all part of a fundraiser mounted by team captain Steve, with lots of help and support from his friends and teammates. The fundraiser is to help out another member of the gang, and it's been a smashing success.

One of the other Lucky team members is the ever resourceful Joe Rose, who's been very helpful as we've tried to sort out parts issues for the Vegginator. He even showed up at the ride Saturday with a genuine Mercedes issue first aid kit for our built-in rear deck first-aid box. We're ready for anything.

All in all, it was a marvelously fowl party, with ducks...
